What is Campaign for Atlanta?
The Campaign for Atlanta is just that – a campaign to get Atlanta back on the right track. It is a campaign for Atlanta not for an individual. We are not looking to endorse a candidate for Mayor. Instead we are a group of long time residents who have been leaders in Atlanta neighborhoods who are aiming to get candidates for Mayor of Atlanta committed to focus on a program of establishing financial solvency, improving public safety and basic services, and rebuilding bureaucratic competence and good government at City Hall. We have pinpointed the issues we think are most important and have contributed to raising the level of discussion among the major mayoral candidates on these issues.
For the last nine months CFA Leadership has been encouraging neighborhood leaders, individual citizens and other groups, including both businesses and neighborhoods, in all parts of the city, to link arms with us, to promote this common-sense agenda. Over the Summer CFA and 14 Co-sponsoring Neighborhoods held two forums at the Carter Center with the Four Major Mayoral Candidates. On this website we now have about 2 hours and 20 minutes of in-depth discussions with each of these candidates. We are pleased to bring high quality videos of the Two Forums unedited, in their entirety and without comment to the citizens of Atlanta where at your convenience you can learn more about the candidates.
14 Atlanta Neighborhoods were Co-sponsors with CFA for the Two Forums. To view a list of our Co-sponsors please click on "Forums" and then click on "Co-sponsors". CFA wishes to thank our partnering neighborhoods for a job well done and for their support through this entire effort. We made it happen together.
